Stress induced symptoms leading to more stress?

    Hi,

I'm new here and I just wanted to post a list of every symptoms I currently have and think is stress related. I want to know if you are experiencing the same and feel free to talk about how you manage them.

    Probably stress:
-Itchings (not a rash, just small itching all over the body)
-Tight throat feeling (come and go)
    -Sweat and hot flash
-Nerves issues (More pinched nerve, more sensitivity or less sensitivity)
-Burning pain in the back of the neck (and shoulders)
-Dry mouth (Can't keep a lot of fluid)
    -Eye twitch
    -Difficulty sleeping
-Feeling disconnected (like in a dream)
-Having to much energy but with zero motivation

    Maybe stress:
-Lymph node a little bit swollen on the neck
-Swollen tonsil (since they are part of the immune system)
    -Sciatica (come and go)

    Probably not stress:
-Clogged sinus and inner ear tube (come and go, one side or the other)
-Reduce facial nerve sensitivity (follow the clogged sinus)
    -Eye floaters

Experiencing some of those? Or others? How do you manage that?

Oh, and I forgot to add:
    -Forgetting words
-Forgetting to eat! (only while alone at home)

Yes, I would say everything but the bruning pain, dry mouth, eye-twitching and the disconnected dream parts in the first section. Nothing in the other 2 though.

Forgetting words would be a yes, which I put down to having less focus and your mind being a bit cloudy so you can struggle to search for a word.

It's not really the symptoms you need to manage, it's the underlying causes of them. So, you need to understand why you are stressed and try to either accept or challenge bad behaviours.

Many of these symptoms will be helped by relaxation techniques which ultimately treat the root causes of them e.g. progressive muscle relaxation, Mindfulness meditation.

Exercise is also very useful as it burns off excess adrenaline and regulates your bodies hormones hence helping you sleep better.

Relaxing things can help e.g. reading in bed can help distract & relax your mind so you fall asleep more naturally.

There are all sorts of things you can try until you hit upon what works for you.

To resolve issues though, CBT & Mindfulness meditation are very useful.

Exercise work better for me, I have a hard time relaxing when my energy level is high. After a good run, meditation and relaxing techniques really show results. Else, at best it distract my mind for a moment but pressure and stress come back after.

Exercise is good for burning off that build up of adrenaline. It sounds like you are regulating your hormones and then using your techniques at the time when your adrenaline has been natuarally reduced. I think thats a good way to do it. I struggle with the techniques earlier on in the day but they have a greater effect on me if I do them at night when I'm winding down anyway.

    Do you do Mindfulness meditation?
