I'm an old timer to health anxiety. It started when I was 8 years old because I puked in front of my classmates. That day started my emetophobia, fear of flus, fear of colds.... as I aged it progressed into fears of cancer and other diseases. It got worse with the advent of Google, I think many fall into that trap! I stopped Googling "wrong" about 2 months ago and have been doing a little better. Now by googling "wrong" I mean googling symptoms. I put what I THINK it is first and THEN the symptom. Example instead of just googling, "Dizziness causes" I'll google, "Menopause dizzy" or "Anxiety dizzy" and I'll stick to that! It helps!
