Anxiety at work - unwell colleagues

Hi all,

Been motivated to post here as I'm sitting at work thinking myself round in circles, and it's doing me no good at all.

I've just overheard a colleague mentioning "stomach bug" and "kids being germ factories", and now I'm all in knots about the possibility of catching something.

I need to go to the loo but I'm too scared to touch the door handle to leave the office, or use the toilet because I don't know which one my colleague used last, and I want to use the other one!

Ah, the joys of irrational fear.

I'm writing this as a way of putting the breaks on my mind a little. Also acknowledging the fear, and I know that anxiety will pass.

I know many of you will have been in similar situation, and we've all survived it. Just having kittens at the moment!

my collegae had a stomach bug on friday and all weekend I panicked and doused my hands in antibacterial. I got so worked up I went home ill monday afternoon after mistaking my period cramps for a stomach bug.
