prozac and insomnia

has anyone else experienced this, i have been on prozac for 18 days now and since taking them i have been waking up at 5am every morning and its a nightmare, i cant seem to get past 5am and also i am having the wierdest dreams and dreams that i can remember, really vivid ones.

the medication is helping but the sleep deprivation is a killer at the moment , has anyone been on this and does it ease, all replies greatly appreciated

I am not on Prozac, but know friends who were prev on it and now on similar pills! They seem to get weird dreams and always seem to be in a pattern of sleep. Ealy mornings etc.
After being on it around a month it should help, but the weird dreams will acrry on most of the time, Sorry to say!!
There isn`t much else i can say on that matter as i am sleep deprived and not on any meds at all. Very Annoying!!!
