Severe sensitive teeth

hi there for the past few months i have been suffering from really sensitive teeth to anything. i went to the dentist a few months ago as a fillinf had come out so she put in another filling and gave them a clean and she didnt say i needed any other fillings or anything. since monday night i have been using colgate sensitive toothpaste but so far its not working. im really worried my teeth are going to fall out or something serious is wrong with me. had anyone else suffered from this? any ideas on what could be causing it?

Hi Louise,
I have the same thing except I have receding gums. I have a numbing injection before I have my teeth cleaned as it is so painful. My dentist prescribed some toothpaste on prescription made by colgate as you cannot buy it.
I have known also that some dentists put a layer of substance onto the gum part and that helps. you are doing the right thing though. Your teeth will not fall out xx
