hi having an endoscopy in 4 weeks time, i was just wondering whether im allowed to be totaly asleep when they do it

They wouldn't really want to put you completely to sleep to do it no.
You can have sedation though

My mum had this done a few years ago and she was petrified about having an endoscopy. She is paranoid about choking on everything so she was scared about the procedure. She opted for sedation and said she was completely unaware of it happening. Hope this helps to put your mind at rest.
