    if you HAVE to google...

I suggest typing in whatever cray symptom you might have (burning arm, tight throat, tingly toes, strange looking poop...whatever..) and follow it with anxiety. So when you Google, type in for example "right sided numbness in face anxiety"
you will always get results of message boards much like NMP with people having the exact symptoms you are and it's a lot less scary and quite reassuring as opposed to webmd or any other health site that would pop up if you were to just type "right sided numbness in face"
I do this a lot when I need to Google my symptoms and it really cuts down on the horror stories and scenarios and kind of helps you realize its not just you, anxiety can cause thousands of random dumb symptoms.

Brilliant suggestion, Amandala. That's outside the box thinking. Eventually this will retrain your brain to know that it really is anxiety and the need to "google" will go away. Way to go, you!

It can be helpful to those who don't have anxiety or panic and know how to properly distinguish between what they should and should not worry about (me not being one of them), however, having anxiety, it can be easy to fall into this new category:

    Google -- cyberchondria
