Endoscopy today! Very very scared

Got my endoscopy today and in soooo scared about being sedated, don't think I can do it without as I panic and gag lots! How long are you sedated for? And I'm so scared about the results!!!

I'm panicking already please help, I'm tempted to cancel :(

Please don't cancel as you will regret it later. The sedation is brilliant and you are only sedated long enough for the procedure to take place. You won't remember anything about it and will feel fine again in no time.
I was like you worrying about it but now that I have had it I wouldn't worry if I had to go through it again.

The anticipatory anxiety before is not good but it really is nothing to worry about.

Had it done all with out sedation, was absolutely fine felt silly worrying!! Just had to relax and concentrating breathing! Thanks everyone for advice
