Omeprazole..... Anyone been prescribed it??

Hiya.

Overall i would say it has worked well. I am still getting a lump feeling in my throat, however, the pain in my chest, the churning and back pain have all gone. The only MAJOR issue is that I forgot to take them on Sunday night and I am stiff suffering the effects today :-(

It is great for acid reflux. I take 20mg each evening and I get no side effects from it. as soon as I miss a dose I find my reflux is back tho so I don't recommend missing doses.

Is it better to take it at night rather than morning x

I've just been given this for some odd non-heart related throat flutters that my doc thinks may be caused by silent reflux. Only took my first one today so will be interested to see if it helps!

I've been prescribed this as well whilst I wait for chest x ray.

Did any of you guys have issues with nausea / bloating? I ate some crusty bread about 2 hours ago and almost immediately felt sick, bloated etc., I know it reduces amount of stomach acid so could be that, or could be food poisoning!

I take 20mg per day, I take it in the morning before breakfast. I have taken it at night but prefer to take at the same time as my other meds.

I suffer with extreme anxiety and especially where meds are concerned, I have never noticed the anxiety getting worse with this, in fact I'd say it's much better because I don't get the pains in my stomach/chest any more.

Don't miss a dose though!
