    From a worried mum

Hi, and thanks in anticipation. I'm a worried mum, my son Michael has OCD and anxiety. He has had it for a few years, but a few weeks ago he had the worst nightmare ever. From then on depression and anxiety have really taken a grip of him. He has racing thoughts that he just can't shift. GP has put him on Escitalopram and he's been on it for 2 weeks now. Should he be feeling at least a bit better by now? He isn't though. Please help!!!!

I was on escitalopram for depression and anxiety. It took a month to feel better, but then after a few months I upped my dose to 20 mgs (from 10) and once I was settled on 20 mg I felt great.
