I'll be seeing him for this rough white patch on the back of my tongue. I've seen pictures of leukoplakia and it doesn't look all that different to me than my patch. I'm honest to God terrified. Please keep me in your thoughts!

Hi Hangside. Sorry, I just saw your post.
As Fishmanpa said, it turned out okay! I don't really remember what it was, but I think it's basically the skin drying out and peeling, so it appeared like rough white patch under my tongue (I had been messing with that area for another problem, and I caused that peeling basically). I went to see the surgeon and one quick look and he told me it was fine.
