    Breast discharge...going to pieces...

Had my HA under control lately but this morning when I woke up my white vest was stained with yellow and pink stains on my left breast area...dr googled it and it said that that sort of discharge is an alarming one and is usually cancerous....I am 57...no family history of breast cancer but I did have a recall last year after a mammogram but after two drs checking it they said all was ok
Now I am convinced that it was something and now it's spread..I am due to go to Spain on holiday on Wednesday and if I go to the drs in the morning she will send me straight to the specialist and my husband is so in need of a holiday...I am in bits today....all the breast sites I have checked all say that it is not a good sign...I am not going to cope with this as my cancer phobia means that I cannot do bad news....

    Hi

This is just a courtesy reply to let you know that your post was moved from its original place to a sub-forum that is more relevant to your problem.

This is nothing personal - it just enables us to keep posts about the same problems in the relevant forums so other members with any experience with the issues can find them more easily.

You are best seeing the doctor. It may be nothing but nobody on here can tell you what it is.

Hi there are more non cancerous reasons for a discharge from the nipples than the likely hood that its cancer, even blood is probably caused by a cyst, have you or are you going or gone through the menapause.
Go to Drs and get checked out he will know better than we do but don't worry, wait till your told to worry

Hi Alexandria...I am post menopausal. It was the dreaded google that has put the fear of God in me as I didn't think pale pinky ringed with yellow would have been as bad as full blood. Just the thought of all the tests and weeks of worry and then possible outcomes has made me I'll today.

Hi Jules tomorrow I would either make an appointment for that day or for when you return off holiday so you feel a sense of control over the situation. I was once in your situation. Phoned a private specialist am, saw him pm had biopsy and had the results at 10pm that night when he called me at home. I understand this is costly and believe me I did not really have the money but I was a lot worse with my HA then and like you was going on holiday. What I would not do is just worry without doing any of the above. There is probably a simple explanation but there is no point any of us saying don't worry. All the best Lucia

Well went to see GP this morning...has referred me to the breast clinic but didn't think I would get seen before Wednesday but I did ring the clinic and I have to ring again in the morning. I asked about going private but they said it wouldn't be any quicker...Luc, did you refer yourself or through your GP?
