45mg-->30mg-->22.5mg--->15mg-->7.5mg-->0mg

I just thought I'd keep a record of how my taper goes so that I can look back and see how I was doing, but also to try help anyone else that might want to taper down from 45mg.

Day 1 (30mg)

Woke up feeling quite positive and happy, anxiety low, was pretty good all day until early evening I felt anxious- but I think it was anxiety based around tapering down.

Day 2 (30mg)

woke up at 8am, got ready for work, anxiety not really a problem. Absolutely fine at work, always usually am, home from work, bit of a headache. Slight anxiety in the last half hour or so, but nothing extreme or difficult; again, most likely anxious about the idea of tapering down and how it will go once I go below 30mg.

I dreading when the docs say to me come of your meds. I don't think if can I am dependent on them so I wish u well xxx

I wouldn't be coming off them if I was doing well. But it's been 6months and I feel like they are making me more depressed/numb which makes my anxiety worse. :/ I don't tolerate SSRI types very well either so now I'm much improved, and back at work....I'm curious as to how I'd do without them. Thank-you though. If I don't do very well once I've withdrawn, I will have to try something else, but trying to keep positive

Good luck with the taper. I'm a bit like you, balancing positive effects with side effects. At the moment, I'm still with the positive effects, but the day may come when I don't need the positive support.

Day 3

Feeling okay again, slight headache this morning, nothing too horrendous. Feeling more happy and have noticed a significant change of not feeling as controlled as on 45mg. Will stick at 30mg until after the weekend.

How's it goin for you on the Mirt taper?

I am on day 2 of taper from 45mg to 30mg....not really noticed much difference so far in terms of anything negative or withdrawal. Will see how it goes.

Hey, totally forgot about my thread! Lol I've been on 30mg a week now. Havent had any effects in fact I've felt better by coming down. Starting my taper to 22.5mg tonight. Have cut my 45mg tab in half using a pill cutter I got on eBay for a quid! Lol hopefully no effects will be felt from going down to 22.5mg. Will keep you posted.

Day 1 of 22.5mg. No noticeable differences again. Any anxiety I have is purely about being nervous of splitting my dose. Feeling quite a bit more normal since starting the taper, so feeling quite confident I'm going to be okay.
