If you don't like the smell of some cleaning products and you want to clean skirting boards, use an anti bac spray (that doesn't smell much) and a facial wipe. If it doesn't clean the skirting boards as well as you'd like, atleast it definitely get rids of dust.

Good one Tort. I do not use spray polish. I use wipes for wood or ---like you say, that spray does not smell. Baby wipes I use too. xx

i have used wd40 for cleaning skirting boards, does wonders!
