Re: A timetable for recovery on Fluoxetine / prozac

    Hi Laurenjade08,
I have been on Fluoxetine 20mg for the past 6 months, i truly thought that nothing good would ever happen to me again, i was in a very dark and lonely place and thought i would never feel normal again.
Like you i struggled with my meds, thinking they were not working, but i persevered and after about week five i rounded the corner, day by day i felt a little better. I would say it took about 12 weeks altogether to feel what i considered my old self.
The meds will work, but it takes time. Hang in there and stick with it.
    Wishing you happiness
    Otterman.

    Hi ,
I need suggestion , I am on 20 mg of prozac from 8 months , I can say from where I started I am much better now. But still I have low days , which demoralize me . I am taking it for anxiety and I am 45 years male.
I need suggestion that shall I increase my dose to 40 mg , will increased dose be more beneficial to me?
