Bummer. I was hoping you'd get at least a small dose of mirtazapine as a sedative, if not a BZD. The closest otc alternative is the antihistamine diphenhydramine found in in Nytol tablets and liquid, however, it may prove too sedating when combined with propranolol and the two may also lower blood pressure enough to trigger postural hypotension when getting up. But it could be more effective than propranolol on its own so... Might be worth getting your pharmacist's opinion.

Pity. Unfortunately, there's not much else available otc. It is really going to be up to your GP if the anxiety continues. You need to press him as white-knuckling through anxiety is counter-productive.

It seems fluoxetine is slowly beginning to kick-in. Are you still on 40mg?

Yes, hoping to stick at that dose. I keep forgetting to post on here as I don't get email notifications when someone replies 😆

I feel like i'm back at rock bottom again. Scared, hopeless, feel awful. Please tell me this is temporary.

It might be temporary, but I would have expected a better result by now given you've been on 40mg for 12 weeks, or is it 13? When did things begin to go pear shaped and was there anything going on in your life that might have triggered it?

I think it's 12 weeks. The only thing I can think of is I've been eating a lot of junk food over the past week.
