Thread: I finally broke down and decided to make a Dr. appointment (mildly nsfw)

Cool I finally broke down and decided to make a Dr. appointment (mildly nsfw)

2 days ago I noticed a tiny white bump on a pretty... Ahem... Intimate spot, with a dark patch of skin under it and instead of sit around worrying about it I looked up OB-GYNs, found one that I probably trust to look at my lady bits, and am planning on making an appointment as soon as her office opens.

Considering I usually put off seeing a doctor as long as possible, I'm proud of myself for reacting so quickly.

Now to deal with the anxiety of waiting for the appointment.

    Hi

This is just a courtesy reply to let you know that your post was moved from its original place to a sub-forum that is more relevant to your problem.

This is nothing personal - it just enables us to keep posts about the same problems in the relevant forums so other members with any experience with the issues can find them more easily.

Well done, did you get the appointment organised?

Yeah, but she can't get me in until Sept. 2nd. :/ I may try to find another ob-gyn who can take me sooner. It seems ridiculous to have to wait so long for something this incidental... If it was just for a checkup the wait wouldn't be so bad but this is a specific, uncomfortable symptom. I guess I just want to get it over with, not sit around worrying for a month, you know?

    Is it an ingrown hair?

Possibly. It's improved a lot since I first noticed it, so whatever it is/was it's going away. I would guess ingrown hair or pimple, something like that. I was really only worried about the dark skin around it. I screwed up and googled it and predictably diagnosed myself with cancer by the end of the night :/

Of course now that I think about it it's possible that it's just how I normally look and I never noticed because I never bothered to look down there that closely until now. It's not like a rash or anything, just slightly darker skin. I don't know. I actually can't wait for the appointment. I'm neither 21 nor sexually active but I'm paranoid enough that I think yearly appointments now would be a good idea lol
