    The Dive Reflex

Hi again everyone. I've just seen this tip mentioned on the Emoclear website, and wondered if anyone had tried it? (I haven't myself but it looks worthwhile).

    Hi Pancho,

Haven't got enough ice (I have a tiny fridge ). It looks like a good idea for a hot day though.

Yeah, I can now. The domain hadn't been renewed when I tried before, so they must have paid up now.

    Hi Graham,
Something that I found useful was to splash my face with cold water (if I am close to a bathroom) - it can help calm me down, or wake me up a bit. (though I end up with teeth chattering when my body overheating has calmed down). I wonder if this is a bit like your ice dive - the cold water on the face seems to do something.
    Thanks for sharing,
    Laura

Yes it is. I've seen splashing the face with cold water referenced to the effect of the dive reflex.

I will be trying the cold water thing. It does make sense because your body and mind need to react to it quickly, therefore maybe shutting up the other anxious nonsense...

Yeah, like a quick distraction technique really.
