    citalopram - helping but exhausted!

Started these on Sunday - felt instantly better. Probably because I have had them before...

BUT I AM SOOOOOO TIRED! I cannot stop yawing, all the time, went to OH's Xmas party the other night and was yawning when people spoke to me!

Anyone else had this? How long will it last?!

Yawning is a side effect of citalopram (it said on the leaflet that came with mine) - I got 'chronic' yawning for the first few weeks when I started on it (quite embarrassing when talking to people who didn't know what I was taking!), but it passed eventually. Could also be that you're experieincing 'withdrawal symptoms' from an "adrenaline high" - when I was first signed off sick with stress I reckon I'd been living on pure adrenaline for months, and as soon as I stopped work I slept for about a week and felt really lethargic etc.
