Breast / armpit pain

I have a pain that shoots from the armpit into the breast. There is definitely breast tissue at the origin, but can't day if there is a lump or not (might just be a small roll of breast tissue) - I am sure breast cancer doesn't hurt in the early stages but that isn't stopping me from freaking out right now. What else causes excruciating shooting pains in one side of the breast? Anyone have a similar experience to share?

There is less shooting pain today, but more dull aching in the area. There is definitely something palpable. Could be breast tissue, lymph node, who knows. I am meeting with a new Dr on Wednesday (current one is relocating so I needed to find a new one) I think I will have them check it out while I am there.

is it possible that you have strained something? Tho it wont hurt to mention it to your doctor.

It's possible, it started hurting when I was on vacation and for worse the day after I got back. Lugging luggage probably didn't help.

I went to docs for something similar while back and turn out to be a strain from lifting something. but felt better for speaking to the doc to make sure.
