    Exclamation given antibiotics but no chest infection?

    So I have sinusitis - doc gave me a 7 day course of Doxycycline... took it away, but it came back so gave me another 7 day course, 3 days in they weren't working so a new doc gave me a 7 day course of Erythromycin and a nasal spray, I'm now bringing up white phlegm but I don't have a chest infection? is this bringing up any crap off my chest?

    also why erythromycin instead of doxycycline? - doxy 100mg 1 x a day, erythro is now 250mg 4 x a day, so its a stronger dose? but im confused :s
