under active thyroid

hi got my blood test results back yesterday i have an under active thyroid any one else have this all ive read is horror storys about it anyone got it with a bit more positive about it im not sure how long till will feel better really need to talk to someone whos got this

My best friend and aunt both have it. It's really common and very manageable with meds. I thought I had it for a while because of the stories I'd read about people not getting diagnosis' for it as opposed to getting it. Have a google for "thyroid sexy" there are some good stories there. I'm hypothyroid (underactive). It's no biggie. You take your thyroid pill every morning and that's it.

thanks canbud i will be honest it has frightened me a bit cos i was silly enought to google an seen something about it can cause heart problems which was one of my fears years back but ive got to say i feel much better since starting meds for it .

Hi

I have hashimoto thyroids (an auto immune underactive thyroid condition). I was diagnosed with it at 12 years old. Been taking meds for it every day since. It's no big deal
