Question Flu vaccination and now I'm ill!

    Hi Everyone

I had my first ever flu jab last Friday and I was ok with it i've been told to come back in 1 to 2 weeks because they'd ran out of pneumonia vaccinations which I need, yesterday I felt under the weather now I'm completely ill with either the cold or the flu.... thought this vaccination was meant to prevent this, my fiancee said I look as if i'm doped up to the eye balls.

Sneezing non stop that i'm running out of tissues
    Feverish
    Raspy cough
    Sweating
    Sore
    Going from clamy to hot
    Congestion
Mucus was clear last night now today it's green (sorry)

I have been drinking plenty of fluids and also today I've bought some lemsip max cold and flu sachets...

Hope things pick up I feel like I've been hit by a bus

Can't be the flu jab after 5 days can it??

    Petesy

    Pete,

I had mine last week. I felt a bit achy the next day, just a bit under the weather and then it was gone the day after.

You've probably got a cold on top of the flu jab symptoms. You're doing the right things so just rest up and see how you get on. You know the drill, your go to your GP if you start feeling much worse.

    Take care

    Pip
