Strange new chest sensation.

Hello everyone (sorry to bother you )!

I recently changed GP and they are almost outright refusing to give me an ECG (I have had 12 before...) so I'm a bit down on my confidence over things at the moment.

My main anxiety symptom beyond the psychological impact has recently been a bizarre feeling in my chest and gut. It's almost like a tightening and tickling sensation in my chest that catches my breath and sometimes comes from my gut but not always. It's odd, it's not exactly painful, but very very uncomfortable and debilitating. It's happening with an unfortunate frequency at the moment too.

If anything I preferred the sharp chest pains!

Can anyone relate to these bizarre feelings? I'm sorry I can't describe them any better.

Hi Kitsune, I have also experenced the feelings you have mentioned. The physical sensations of Anxiety can be really scary. Hope you start to feel nbetter soon. x

Hi, I know the feeling, Ive had a chest ache, more like a feeling so Im so aware of the left side of my chest for about four days now! Freaking me out!!!
