    Epsom Salt baths

I've just been reading about epsom salt baths as being a super duper detox/relaxation thingy... has anyone tried it for anxiety, does it work?

I use them all the time...in fact there's a thought, I ran out of them last week and my anxiety hit a high earlier this week! I just had a delivery of 30kg this morning and have bathed in them today.

Thanks Annie, how much do you put in one bath? 30kg sounds like a lot of salt!

About half a mug. Haha it is a lot...the poor delivery man He left it in my porch and I had to ask my neighbour to help to carry it in the house

Haha! I was looking at the 2kg bag on that site, but that should last me for 8-10 or so baths then I reckon, thanks

I too have had Epsom salts. It said on the packet --do not use soap for twenty minuets . So you have to keep topping up with hot water. So much so the water is going down the overflow!!! They do help thoughx

Thanks both, managed to pick up a pot in the local pharmacy so will give it a try, then maybe I'll be ordering 30kg sacks too!

Wow, it feels hotter than an ordinary bath, feels nice though I only managed to stay in for about 15 minutes - anxiety makes my reaction to heat a bit iffy, think it will get better though, and I feel lush now I'm out.

I just found one website that said put bicarb of soda in with the salts to purify the tap water, do you do that Annie?

You need to stay in at least 10 minutes so that's fine I haven't used bicarb before.
