I'm gonna sadass my way thro Christmas
With a can of sardines, true class
    No dishes to wash
Will save me a lotta dosh
Don't got to talk with any folk
Or pretend I'm a normal bloke
    Will go for a walk
Unlike that grand old Duke of York
All my fellow men I'll greet
We all got the same reason to be on the street
Have yous ever read a worse poem lol

Byron Bay is in NSW not far from the Queensland border,Cairns is far north Qld,that is the nearest city near me,the fires are further south,I live near the Daintree Rainforest it’s a lovely area, but geez the humidity is the same as being in Phuket.

That is a good flashback Charlie Xx

Christmas is coming and we are all feeling sad,
Santa will judge if we have been good or been bad.
Will there be presents, I think probably not,
We're one of this people that are normally forgot.
So we sit and we sulk til the day passes by,
And watch others enjoyment as we let out a sigh.
But we are the tough ones that have been through the pain,
The struggles, the sadness that we live again and again.
But a gift that we have that is free to us all,
Is the kindness of words making us feel ten feet tall.

It's only in reality a couple of days and we have 100 % success rate in getting through it.

we have our own business and we work Christmas Day and Boxing Day, so normalising it is fairly easy take the pooches out for a quiet walk in the evening and before you know it it's bedtime. Rinse and repeat the next day and then you have my permission to throw the lot back up into the loft
Thanks! It just frightens me so much. What changes will come in the next decade. It makes sleep harder for me as when I go to bed I know that the next day is another day closer to New Year. I am coping better but it still raises my anxiety a lot.

Now New Year means absolutely zilch to me. It really is just another day. It's only new year on the calendar. Mankind has made it so. The world turns, sunrise, sunset. Nature doesn't know it's new year. It's a man made event.
Im usually in bed by 11 reading a book. So Rock and Roll

You speak wisely Darksky. Nature moves in seasons and weather patterns. Christmas to the birds in my garden is just another string of winter days. Besides they are too busy surviving the cold/predators etc., living from one day to the next and finding enough food to get through them.
