Hard stomach

I've been really worried for a couple of weeks that my stomach is unusually hard, to the point that I've convinced myself I have stomach cancer. I keep pressing on it to make sure - basically I feel some rigidity in the centre of my stomach, about where my ribcage ends, and I don't know if it's just muscle and if it was always like that. The bottom of my stomach sometimes feel the same which makes me think it's probably muscle, but then again it always seems to feel different and harder than I would expect muscle to feel. It doesn't hurt but I am worried. Can anyone help?

Hi, I know it's not really a rational fear, it's just that I googled it a lot and occasionally it came up as one of the symptoms. The thing about health anxiety is you obsess over the possibility that something is terribly wrong with you even with very little evidence, so even though I know it's almost certainly not, I can't help but worry. Also it's gotten to the point where even if I get over this fear, I've started worrying about getting cancer in general in the future, which is such a general fear it's impossible to forget about. Does anyone have any advice for this? Thanks.

Im right there with you, i suffer HA terribly. Every morning i wake up with something new so i completly understand. Dont google. What im trying to say is a hard stomach wouldnt be the only sign of cancer. You would have other symptoms at least, even then it might be something trivial

I have the same problem right now. My stomach feels hard. It is caused from focusing on it and anxiety. I hate it.
