Lower Left rib pain..

Hi guys, for a couple of weeks (and all over the Christmas period :() I have had really sharp stabbing pains in my lower right ribs.

They are not constant and come on and different times.
Sometimes it will come on after moving, sometimes after eating

Sometimes it hurts when I breathe in too.

I've had a cough for about 3 weeks, doctor has checked my breathing and my heart.. all good

I'm scared about blood clots, a few of my friends have had them and my friends girlfriend died of one that travelled to her brain.

The doctor said she didn't think it was, I show none of the symptoms.. but I still can't get this thought out of my head, even though it's been there so.long. normally my anxiety just settles after a while.

I'm actually having a bad panic attack as I type due to the same pain. Have had it for about 2 weeks now.

I've been to the doctor and he says it's part of a nasty virus as well as some IBS going on. Doesn't make me feel any better though!

Hi both, that's spooky as I have lower left rib pain too round the back. I've had tests such as bloods, MRI, X-rays and nothing comes up about my rib. They think it could be due to my inflammation that I have in my bowel.

I have also found out that panic attacks cause your diaphragm to tighten and as a result this can cause pain in the lower left rib.

I have seen a chiropractor who has told me my diaphragm is extremely tight and I do believe this is due to all the panic attacks I have had over the past 7 months.
