Feels like heart beats once, really scared

Hi there, recently I've been focussing a lot on my heart beat and worrying about skipped beats as I keep reading about sudden death due to heart problems.

I'm 18, have a decent resting heart rate of 70 when standing and am relatively fit, but sometimes when I check my heartbeat it only beats once at a time which has got me really worried, wondering if anyone else has had this, and if it's a form of palpitation or not.

After a walk or sometimes just sitting down it'll beat once per beat sometimes constantly for hours and this gets me very anxious.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Happy new year to you all.

I've always felt a larger then softer beat, this is when I hold my hand over my chest to check my heartbeat. If it's normal to beat once then my mind really is playing tricks on me. /watch?v=BhGwb5hxbX4 is what it should feel like I think, 2 beats. Sometimes when I put my hand over my chest to feel my heartbeat it's only one. (i havent got 10 posts, just put youtube.com infront of the watch link.

That's what I mean, it's not very often you can feel the two beats I don't think??

Well I don't feel two beats anyway, I've never really thought about it

When I feel my pulse in my neck or arm I can only feel one, but the majority of the time when I feel my heartbeat via my chest there are two beats, I get worried when I can only feel one as I think there is something wrong.

I'm sure the heart pumps twice, but I can only feel one in my chest sometimes, and this feeling can last for hours.

Yeah, I'm trying to get myself to stop because it just makes me anxious. Just constantly worried when my heart feels like it pumps once.

can't seem to shake this weird feeling still, has anyone else ever experienced this?
