after a severe panic attack, how long does DR/DP usually last for you?

I had the worst panic attack of my life a week ago and although my confidence with dealing with attacks is back and I can still do things like going into shops and going for a drive, I still can't shake off DP/DR. I know its nothing to worry about, just a horrible after effect but its really getting to me and I feel like I'll never come out of this phase.

Depends - sometimes hours, sometimes weeks. The only thing that makes it bearable is the thought that it WILL eventually go, and we can go on with our lives as normal (or as close as). Hold on in there, and it WILL go!

Earlier on I wrote down exactly how I felt during the attack that caused this lingering DP/DR and how I have felt since then and all the other bad attacks that I have went through over the years and that has made me feel better. Getting it out on better is better than keeping it in your head were it gets all jumbled up or forgotten.
