If you've chosen not to take them, then the positive way of looking at it is that beta blockers are really only a sticking plaster over one of the symptoms of anxiety. They don't actually treat the anxiety, although a reduction in palpitations etc can sometimes help people focus on treating the underlying anxiety issue. If you're not taking them, make sure you work on your anxiety as that's the issue that really needs addressing.

It is unlikely that the insomnia is still being caused by propranolol. Have you discussed this with your GP?Originally Posted by peter9
