Blood in Urine.......... UTI or Worse. Update

Hi All

Last Wednesday night I started getting bladder spasms. Thursday bladder felt irritated and was sore when it was filling up. Had slight burning at the end of the wee. Went Drs on Friday. She felt my tummy and did a urine test. Said there was blood in the urine (started to panic!). She gave me 3 days of antibiotics. Yesterday I went to see a different Dr as I was so worried about the blood. I told her the bladder spasms had gone but still had a sore feeling bladder and needing to go but no burning. She did a wee test and said there was only a trace and that didn't appear straight away. She gave me another 7 days of antibiotics. Rung Drs today for results of wee from Friday and the results were normal...........

Does normal mean nothing in it? Or blood without infection..........
Blood on 2 dipsticks isn't good is it?
The fact that the fullness and sore bladder hasn't gone is worrying me that its not an infection..........
I'm so worried its something like bladder cancer.

Ok, worst case - my dad had bladder cancer and made a full recovery.
however, your doc doesnt seem worried about your symptoms.
if you are still having problems, go back and tell your doc you are worried and tell them what you fear, ie. Cancer
Dont be afraid to talk to your doc and if you feel like they are not listening, see a different one......
I cant tell you whats wrong, but I hate it when someone has a post with zero responses.....

I'm terrified too and have similar symptoms. I'm booked in for a scan but I'm in agony and so so scared xx

Read your post after i posted mine on symptoms! sounds similar to my problems. Got up a couple of nights ago 5 times during the night then peeing all day uncomfortable feeling down below. I did a dip stick test at work (im a carer) and it had traces of blood but no infection. scared becaused looked up on google should never done that. Made appointment for dr. tomorrow.

I have had the same thing happen to me on 3 separate times over about 3 years.
I ended up having to go to the hospital for a test that a camera was used to look inside my bladder. It has a name but cannot think of it.
I was scared as the GP said they were ruling out cancer and that frightened me.
Anyway. I had the result straight a way. An infection.
Don't know what causes this type of infection. All the best x
