constipation - worrying about bowel cancer

Hi. Something thats been worrying me over the last couple of weeks is constipation and im freaking out it could be bowel cancer. Before a couple of weeks ago i was going most days and now im going ever 2 to 3 days and i havnt been to toilet since monday but on monday i had an upset stomach so it was diaorrah.is this normal? Im so scared? Could it be serious? Im also getting cuts on my hands could this be linked? Or is just the cold?

Hi Louise, I think it is just anxiety induced IBS. It happens to most people on this forum.

I go once a week at the most due to IBS

I have just started taking lepicol and it really helps keep you more regular.

I didn't think constipation was a sign of bowel cancer anyway? more loose stools and blood.
