My diary of starting Prozac again-post natal anxiety/depression

I replied to you pm, congratulations on your little boy, when I was really bad orginally I had nights when I would shake and not be able to sleep, just take it a day at a time, you know that you can get through this again. We both went through it together and I will help you get through it this time.

Hi Janine, thank you for this. We did indeed get through it together before. Now with a 6 week old to look after too, it is so tough-the hardest thing I have ever done.

Day 3 and I had an awful night. I probably slep for 3 hours. The rest of the time -sweating and shaking-tossing And turning. Does anyone else get this?

Day 4 - terrible insomnia last night- but then around 4am- having fed my newborn, I felt tired and managed to sleep, but I was still tossing and turning, hot flushes, sweaty and shaky.

Feeling pretty normal today- hoping that this lasts

Day 4 was a good day.

Last night was appalling waking with even worse anxiety.

Day 5- was a nightmare. I have tooth ache in my top gum (what on earth is that?), anxiety and tiredness- as I am not sleeping well.

I am not sure how much I can take. Plus looking after a little one. Really need some encouragement that this will get better.

It will get better,lots of people recover from anxiety every day
Keep taking the meds and they will kick in and things will slowly start to improve

Hang in there, it is the side effects making your anxiety worse, it is going to affect you even more this time as you have your little one to look after as well. you know we are here for you.

set yourself small goals each day,even if its eat lunch or go for a short walk it will all help.When do you see your GP again ?

Hi sally how r u feeling now? Im on day 8 and have hit an all time low! feel like i could cry at the drop of a hat at any point right now i feel scared anxious and crap basically i have no motivation left today i havent felt like this in a while!? does anyone know if this is normal?
