    Constant Anxiety Possible?

    Hi

Is it possible to suffer from constant anxiety? as i have been been diagnosed with depression and im not convinced as i dont have any emotional symptoms like crying, feeling sad or guilty or worthless or anything like that.

And im still not 100% sure if the feeling i had 3 months ago that started all these symptoms was apanic attack, i felt unreal, lightheaded and like water was running in my head and i felt fear for no reason like i was going to collapse or die and i had an urge to move.

Every day since then i have all these symptoms and i just wondered if it is constant anxiety as i thought anxiety was just something you get now and again at different times of the day i get all these symptoms:-

no energy/feeling tired all the time
    aches and pains
    shaky hands
    pins and needles
sleeping and eating is ok at the moment
feeling tight throat like im going to choke all the time
    achy face
    twitching,trembling

Is these constant anxiety or depression?
been told i have generlaized anxiety disorder by one doctor, been told stress by another and depression by anurse and im on anti-depressants at the moment.

Im 22 years old and didnt have any major things happen before this so seems all weird to me.

Im still very puzzled by it all and dont believe the doctors are right or dont know what they are doing. [8D]

    Hi Karl,

It is possible to have 24/7 anxiety and that does sound more appropriate for what you're decribing. Depression is very comon in conjunction with anxiety and they are often interlinked .

Don't take too much notice of labels you're given .

Your antidepressant medication is probably licenced for anxiety alone too.

Anxiety is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind.
If encouraged, it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained.

    Hi Karl,

You may not think that you are suffering from depression because you don't feel like how you think a depressed person should feel. However, you need to remember that there are loads of different types of anxiety and depression so everyone is different. Cipralex is for people with depression and anxiety so it will help you with whatever you have.

    Hi Karl

As you have seen from the replies it is common to suffer from anxiety constantly and it does feel like a viscious circle we can never break free from. Along with anxiety can come depression as Meg says they are interlinked.

When you are feeling so bad with anxiety it isnt surprising that you become depressed as you feel a constant battle with your feelings.

Medication hopefully will help you whether it be amxiety or depression or both combinded.

Yes it is possible to suffer from anxiety 24 - 7.

    I know, I have done.

The water running through the head thing sounds very much like congestion in the ears to be honest.
