Thanks for reply. I do hope when you go up to 150 you will find it
helpful. Someone told me that 150 is quite a low dose but do not know if
that is true.
Am still thinking about going up another notch. At the moment and for a while my head does not seem to belong to me. Headache on the top of
the scalp and down the back of head !!!!!!! Wonder if this quite normal
find it quite frightening. anyway hope you get some help from the 150 Night hopey.

hello tommach? I started on vel 35mg up to 70mg then up another 35
have now been on 150 mg for 8 or 9 weeks.
think I probably need to go up again but am rather doubtful about this as I
read on one of these and it sais that going up over 150 was more difficult.
have you experienced this at all. hope you can relieve my thoughts.

tried to send a message but do not think it has gone. sounds a bit like me!!!
I started on 37,5mg then put up to 75mg then 110mg then 8/9 weeks ago
it was put up to 150mg. Been having some very anxious days and think I
probably need to up yet again. Do you think going from 150mg up to the
next is more difficult? Think I read somewhere that it was.

Hi Hopey, going over 150mg of ven unfortunately does give you worse side effects I found as that's when it's effects more transmitters in the brain, im on 187.5mg and this dose suits me but I had a terrible time increasing from 150mg to 187.5mg hence the start of this thread but I'm so glad I stuck it out now as I feel so much better almost normal lol!! My side effects lasted about 3 weeks and I took Diazepam to help but the actual increase took a good 8ish weeks to fully kick in but it was worth it. Ven is a good med but I find it slow acting.

So I had my first day back at work today. It was absolute hell for me.

I've decided I'm just not ready to go back and that the meds are still not doing their job.

Can anyone tell me what dosage they got to be for they felt better? How long did it take for you to notice a difference and how to you know when to stop increasing the Ven? I'm on 112.5.

Sorry you're still having a rough time.
It's taken me up to now to really feel like things are settling down again.
I'm on 225mg now and am sticking at this.
Have you had any improvement in depression or anxiety?

I think my mood is okay but my anxiety is still very high. Although today has been better because I've been working from home. I'm seeing my GP and a private psychiatrist tomorrow for a second opinion but I think I'm going to increase the ven

Hi Tom

It's just a case of try it and wait and see really.
I'm feeling in a much better place now,so won't be planning to go any higher.

Ven on its own wasn't sufficient to keep the lid on my anxiety, hence the Olanzapine.
Perhaps your Psych may discuss something like this as an add on for you?
