advice please regarding mirtazapine and insomnia

I have been having the most awful insomnia my doc has prescribed me 30mg of mirtazapine to take at night but I have been reading that 15mg is best for insomnia should I just take half a tablet or a full one. Any one with any experience big thanks in advance x

Think because I've not slept for a week sat there crying saying I wanted to die hysterical an severe anxiety. But would you recommend 15 then 15mg diazepam didn't work nor 7.5mg zopiclone ��thank you for replying x

It's horrible insomnia :-( I would recommend 15mg should defo help you sleep x

I took half a one and I have never been so drowsy. Couldn't speak without slurring. Tired. Couldn't function to do basic things and nearly fell down the stairs. It gets rid of anxiety only because you can't think or do anything. Turned me into a virtual vegetable
