    Struggling need advice

I upped to 15mg 2 nights ago from 6 days on 10mg and the side effects seem to have got worse than they already were, last night was one of the worst nights ever. It's not so much panic, although that is bad too, it's the fact that I literally can't keep still and I have to keep moving my legs. it's like I know I should be going to do things but I can't make myself. I've had a few calm periods since starting them and I thought that maybe they were starting to work but now I'm just not sure anymore. I'm forcing myself to eat as I could feel myself trembling and weak last night.

I'm really struggling right now and any reassurance would be great please x

Thumbs up Re: Struggling need advice

It's possibly side-effects from the medication. I'm onto my 3rd time on Citalopram and I'm currently 4 weeks in. Anxiety is worse (today isn't good- had some bad news last night), but am trying to manage it via distraction, doing some relaxation and I've also got some diazepam to take as a last resort.

I think it's a case of batting through this, as Citalopram needs 6-8 weeks to kick in properly. There is light at the end of the tunnel, as hard as it seems.

    Re: Struggling need advice

I had that feeling too. I'd constantly move my legs or feet and it kinda made me feel better too. I found that I couldnt keep still. And yes, the panic and anxiety was bad too. But it passes. I really no longer have those feelings at all. I get moments throughout the day where I feel really energetic and then I get tired, like everyone else. But there isn't any feelings of self-doubt, mind chatter, I got used to the quiet in my head after a while and it's nice to be able to focus on what's happening around you instead of being stuck in your head. Hold on it'll get better soon
