Hey guys, after 13 weeks on escitalopram I was switched to sertraline, because I had terrible side effects that wouldn't go away and I had 0 therapeutic effect. Now on sertraline after 2 weeks 100 mg and 4 weeks 200 mg Im feeling even worse if possible. I was wondering, what do you guys think of my situation and how long do you think I should hold on to sertraline? Main side effect is extreme physical anxiety, exactly what I was being treated for in the first place...

Hi 200mg is quite a high dose! My anxiety is through the roof on 50mg for 3weeks, so god knows what your going through! The doctor also said to me about Sert increasing anxiety to start with. I think you need to give it at least 6 weeks on that dose tbh.

I had same effect (worse anxiety) for about 2 weeks when i started on 50mg and when i increased to 100mg...

in both cases it settled down after 2-3 weeks and felt a lot better after that...as spawn said - i would try and stick it out for 6 weeks and see how you feel - good luck!
