Can anxiety hold of your period?

I was sure it was about to come and I've been crazy with anxiety lately and it's not come yet. Just kind of threatening. I'm trying to calm down so things will continue as normal. Has this happened to anyone else?

Re: Can anxiety hold of your period?

    Hi Peach
High amounts of stress can cause periods to be missed or stop or lighten for an amount of time- I often find that if I am extremely anxious (usually about whether I am going to actually have on or not..irony) then I will miss one.
Try not to worry- it's all natural and once you stop stressing about them, they will probably come back to you.
