Hi everyone,
I have just started taking cipralex im on 5mg, i was going to have 10mg but i didn't want to take the sedatives. I take it at night. Just wondering what side effects your getting. I wake up feeing sick, agitated, hot then cold. its like a panic attack. I have taken citalopram on and off for ten years but I have never had this tablet. im writing this now and feel like I just want to move constantly, my hands feel twitchy.

Do you think you get more side effects if you have a higher anxiety state???
When i look back i have had these symptoms before but i cant remember if i was on citalopram at the time.

Hi

I started today too on 5mg. I've used cipralex before

I was dreading bedtime and my fears have been realised. I feel really weird which had lead to a panic state

I don't remember experiencing this last time round but heh ho

I know its tuff but hang on in there

Its taken almost 2 weeks for me and my sleep is getting better. It will pass.

I am on 20mg and though my sleep has never been great since startng it, actually since I first became ill, I am so much better and all the hot flashing etc will just go away so you feel like you are not even taking the meds. Just keep hanging on in there....it's just your brain getting used to the meds remember darl no matter how od dyou feel. But you will know if something really is not right xxx I was on Mirtazapine and knew it was making me worse after 8 months and should have settled but I never did so saw my doc for the Lexapro. And I have never looked back xxxx
