Pains under ribs on the left side

I have been getting intermittent pains like a stitch only last seconds at a time but starting to bother me anyone else had these funny pains in left lower rib area

Yes, quite often. I've had various tests though and dr told me that rib painis 'classic anxiety' (and in fact, it seems to be quite a common complaint in this website).

I frequently get pains under my ribs when anxious.

I get sore tender spots on mine, it hurts when you press on the rib, I have it at the moment, xx

Thanks I been so worried thinking alsorts and the googling hasn't helped it's just so random like a stitch that comes and goes x

My doc said it was nothing when I visited on Monday so why does it come everyday x

Have you considered it being IBS symptoms or trapped wind. Pain is quite common under the left rib

Thanks for the replys well I did have its years ago when my dad was ill then passed away but can't remember having pains, I am going to the toilet more though and I'm full of wind sorry for tmi x
