    5mg does it make a difference ??

    3 days ago i upped my citalopram from 20mg to 25mg (didnt wanna go right up2 30mg as done that in past wasnt nice) anyway for 3days my anxiety has been sky high i never thought about the meds till my partner mentioned id upped the meds 3days ago ...

    Would 5mg really make a difference ?? An cause me some side effects

    How were you going up to 20mg? If you were fine, I'm less sure but if you really struggled working your way up to that dose then it could occur in further increases. I seem to recall you being very sensitive to Citalopram and having to work up slowly (or have I got that wrong?)

    well I went from 20 to 30 and it made a fair difference for me which is only 10mg so I don't see why 5mg wouldn't make a difference, stick with it!

    I stopped after 3 days an went bk to my normal dose...

    I was like this starting the meds too

    It sounds like side effects then and making a smaller adjustment was a good call to test this.

    Did you start on really really low doses of Cit after having trouble with side effect to start initially? I seem to recall you being very very sensitive to this stuff last year? If I'm remembering rightly, I think you need to talk to your GP for a better plan to increase e.g. do they do it in liquid form and would that allow an even more gradual taper?
