    Depression on skull and soreness

I am a healthy 20 year old woman who has been experiencing some sort of anxiety for 2 months. A few weeks ago I felt nauseous all the time and sometimes dizzy and lightheaded. I noticed my pupils were sometimes different sizes, but all doctors I've spoken to about it seem to not think anything of it.

For this past week and a half, I have not experienced any nausea or dizziness really and felt pretty much back to normal. However, I have been having some soreness/scalp tenderness on this one spot on my head (left, center of my skull a little toward the back). It hurts if I move my hair around in that spot and hurts a little when I press on it. I also would sometimes feel little bursts of pain in that area but haven't gotten one in a while. I just found a small depression right in the area where my scalp is tender and am freaking out.

My left ear (on the same side as the spot where my head is sore) has been getting red and hot at random times (idk if that's relevant).

I was convinced I had a brain tumor for like a month this past April/May and am trying to move past this fear, but the depression in my skull is not helping.

I have been to 3-4 docs in the past two months who told me all of my physical symptoms were anxiety (lightheadedness, nausea, dizziness, extreme lethargy, etc.), but I just can't accept that. I also had blood tests to test my iron levels and thyroid which came back normal.

    Someone please help me.

Okay, listen to the doctors. Honestly, you HAVE to do this. They are the most educated profession we have. It's hard I know. Trust me, I left the ER after multiple test, cane home and went straight into another panic attack. Since your anxiety just started a month ago then try to find what started all these health fears. I've had the brain tumor one as well and it's hell because you're convinced that your mind can't be doing all of this but in reality it completely can. Work on sorting out the irrational and give them the more rational explanation. Trust your doctors. Don't go doctor shopping for years like me seeing every specialist and ending up in debt because of tests and doctor bills. It's not worth it. You can nip this thing in the butt before it escalates. I'm 22 so I understand how hard it is being young and dealing with this. It feels like I've been robbed of my youth but really it's all manifested fears that you created.

You probably bonked your head there, dismissed it at the time and now it's a bit swollen. I did that a couple of months ago and still have what feels like a dent- I believe I may have dented the soft tissue beneath the scalp, which is very thick.

I have a friend who had a brain tumour- he had horrific symptoms, but no headaches.

    All the best.

Emilym80, what do you mean by horrific symptoms?

The horrific symptoms don't matter! If they tell you then you're going to fixate whether you have these symptoms of any kind. You have anxiety symptoms, not a brain tumor. Doctors aren't the most educated profession to bullshit their clients. Whenever there's something serious they get it handled quickly and don't mess around. You HAVE to trust them.

Exactly. When I say horrific symptoms I mean he was rushed to hospital and they knew something was very wrong, much more extreme than headaches etc. I don't mean to belittle your worries but I know how HA works and if I tell you exactly what he experienced you'll fixate on them and this will just snowball.

I have discovered that my boyfriend has the exact same depressions/dents on his head--exact same locations and everything. I was so happy and relieved I cried and since then I haven't experienced the same soreness or headaches (probably because I have stopped repeatedly feeling and poking those spots). Thanks to everyone who replied. Turns out our heads are just weird.
