80mg slow release

Hi all

I take a slow release version of propranolol every morning about 6am. I notice by about 7pm to 8pm I have a strong feeling of panic and its an awful feeling and winds me up for the rest of the evening at a time when i am supposed to be relaxing.

So my question is: does anybody take more than one 80mg slow release (e.g. am and pm) due to this sort of thing? Or is it really only a one a day type capsule?

I know I must consult my own GP but i would be interested in anybody else personal stories and situations.

Hey

I used to take the slow release before changing to the instant release ones. I used to take them at lunchtime and they worked a treat but unfortunately they discontinued the brand that suited me (half inderal) so I went onto the instant release.

Have you tried changing the time you take them? It may be that you're feeling them wearing off so are feeling an adrenaline surge. Maybe changing the time so you sleep through that would be better for you rather than taking a higher dose?
