please help me decide ??? mirtazapine

I have been on mirtazapine for about 6 months and ive put on so much weight with it, and my legs keep swelling up at night, so docs have told me to change to a new one.
Does anyone have any advise on a anti depressant that doesnt make you put on weight and helps with panic disorder?
Also my last tablet was last friday, todays thursday and my legs are still swelling, how long do these tablets stay in our systems?

I also am on this medication and have put on 2stone since being on them also suffering pains in legs with pins and needles down back of right leg doctor told me it is sciatica.but makes me wonder if its the medication.last night i only took one and a half insteadof two.done the same tonight going to gradually try and cut them down and see if things change.let me know how you get on

Sorry to hear about your bad experiences. I've heard from people on here that citalopram can also make you put on weight. I take Cymbalta (duloxetine) which is an SSNRI and is used to treat depression but they are currently licensing it to treat anxiety. By panic disorder-do you mean an anxiety disorder like GAD? I take 60mg Cymbalta and it's turned my life around-I've had no experience of weight gain and if anything, it seems to have kept my weight down. I also had no problems in that respect with seroxat.
