    My 5k attempt

I signed up earlier this year, to take part in a Charity 5k race today. Unfortunately, due to my Mental Health, I haven't gone, but have decided to walk/jog indoors to start off with, by using a Pedometer app.
Might take me all day, but I'm determined to complete the challenge.
    So far, I have walked/jogged 1.24 miles.

    Breakfast time now.

    I'll keep this thread updated.

Good luck! It doesn't matter where you do it, its the same deal, the charity will still be happy with what you raise for them.

Your carpets going to be taking a battering though!

    Re: My 5k attempt

I donated to the Cancer Charity before hand.

Terry, it's the floorboards under the carpet I'm worried about, lol.

Breakfast finished and I'm gonna complete the 5k later, out and about.

The app is stupid. It's called walklogger but when I walk, my steps don't register. it's not until I run, when it registers.

    Thank you for the messages.

    Re: My 5k attempt

Managed 2.20km before having a long break, then found out the app had stopped working.

Since then, I've used another app on a different device and that won't continue either. I did 550 steps on the 2nd app and 0.23 miles.

Wanting to give on my 5k attempt.

    Sorry all

If the app wasn't working properly you may have reached your 5k mark without realising. Well done for trying and hopefully you can do it next time

Well done for doing what you can whether you did all of it or not because you have generated funds for a charity in the process.

Some of these apps seem to need a certain range of motion or I think I've seem some that need the arm your phone is on to move and it doesn't register the other. Bit strange really!
