Worries - long term use of SSRI's

    Hi Guys..
Does anyone worry about long term use of meds..and whether they'll ever be free???
Im on Seroxat(i know but it works for me)...10 years on and off various doses depending on my GAD..but I often feel Ill never be med free....its the security of it helping me that i think keeps me on it...but do others feel this. I mean will this be for the rest of my life and are SSRI's damaging?? I guess just wanted other views as for me personaaly its a case of just wanting to feel ok and they do make me feel ok...but I also feel that it cant be right

    Hi Mooks

This is a question I've pondered. I had to have a liver test before my SSRI was prescribed which was all OK. I do sometimes worry about long term use of these drugs but, at the moment, would be too scared to try and come off of them. Perhaps the Doc's should do liver tests intermittently in order to make sure our livers are stlll coping after long term use?
