hang in there most SSRI's take about about 2 to 4 weeks for you to feel any type of therapeutic relief just all depends on the person not much you can do to speed up things up
if by another 2 weeks in and you still don't feel anything...(many ssri's will leave you emotionless) well let me rephrase that lol if by another 2 weeks you don't feel less anxious either that ssri might not be for you or you will have to up the dose with your docs permission
Hi
This is just a courtesy reply to let you know that your post was moved from its original place to a sub-forum that is more relevant to your problem.
This is nothing personal - it just enables us to keep posts about the same problems in the relevant forums so other members with any experience with the issues can find them more easily.

Hi, I've been on citalopram for years, it was difficult getting on them as they can take between 2-8 weeks to start working (everyone is different) They can make you feel a bit worse before they start making you feel better so hang on in there. I know lot's of people say they make you feel numb, but I've never found that (but again everyone is different). If your worried you can always speak to your doc.
I worry about worrying which makes me worry about the worry I was trying not to worry about!
