Do you have to taper off st johns wort?

Does anyone know if you do? I've read a few different things and my doctor couldn't tell me.

    Thanks

I don't know, but I would suggest you do since it can't do you any harm, whereas if you don't tapper off and you should have done then it can be harmful.
    I don't know if I explained that properly...xxx

I agree with sial. It's an OTC but its normally for mild issues and you are suffering from something stronger than that in my opinion so being cautious would be the best way because at least then you could control the rate rather than feel things hit you more at once (they may not though).

the length of time taken and the dose will effect withdrawal. It screwed up my recovery on herbs and gave me a massive withdrawal headache. Dont take any chances withdraw the last little bit extra slow too..
